Athabasca Glacier Tour Jasper

The road across from the Icefield Center is within walking distance of the Athabasca Glacier’s tongue, which extends from the Columbia Icefield. You can visit it in an Ice Explorer all-terrain vehicle or on foot. Since it reached the rock moraine on the north side of the road in 1844, it has receded by roughly 2 km.
